DID YOU KNOW THERE ARE 2 TYPES OF SUNSCREEN

"Natural" "Mineral" "Chemical Free":: What does it all mean?  Let's break it down. There are two types of sunscreen, PHYSICAL and CHEMICAL.  \ PHYSICAL SUNSCREEN is often referred to as "mineral" or "natural" and are the zinc oxide and/or titanium dioxide UV blockers. They are called physical because they sit on top of the skin and reflect the suns rays like a mirror. WHATS THE DEAL WITH PLASTIC FREE CERTIFICATION IN SUNSCREEN?

Have you heard of Sunspheres? If you haven't then you sure as swell haven't seen them either.  Sunspheres are microscopic plastic particles that act as SPF boosters. The hollow spheres raise the UV protection over the whole UVA/UVB spectrum. To put their size in perspective, they are smaller than microbeads. In a 100ml tube of sunscreen there can be between 10 and 100 trillion particles. So, that's between 10,000,000,000,000 and 100,000,000,000,000 plastic particles in one tube of sunscreen.  The ability of Sunspheres to boost the efficacy of UVA/UVB filters of formulations allows the sunscreen manufacturers to use significantly less of the more expensive UV filters to deliver the same level of SPF. To put it simply...

It was proof to us that we can make our own suncare and it doesn't need added chemicals. We SPF tested it to know it rated at 25+SPF, but couldn't make any claims because we hand made the product. This obviously set us back, as many people still wanted the security of seeing a marked SPF.  So the last 2 years we have spent working with chemists to...
