The SunButter Storytellers Film Grant (SSFG) was created
in 2021 as an opportunity for budding film makers to bring
to life a creative vision in the themes of
Adventure, Nature, Inclusivity, Conservation and Artivism.
The idea was born from a lockdown inspiration to host mini film festivals curated by a different housemate each week.
An activity that brought us so much joy and made us remember

How much funding do I receive?
The successful applicant will receive $1000. 50% of funding will be given at the beginning of the process, and the remaining 50% on completion of the film.
When is the application due?
The first round of 2022 applications will close March 4th.
Who can apply for this grant?
This grant is targetted to helping emerging filmakers to realise a project, however all filmmakers are welcome to apply.
When will the successful applicant be announced?
The successful applicant will be notified by email March 21st 2022.
How long do I have to complete the film?
You will have 3 months to create the film ready for screening.
What happens if I succeed in getting funding?
The team will be in touch through the contact details you provide on your application form. Once complete your film will be shared across SunButter socials. Our judges can also help in guiding your film to enter short film festivals around the world.
What are you looking for in a successful applicant?
A well thought out film plan. No more than 3-5 minute production. Clear intentions with achievable deliverables
in relation to time and budget.
